2. Client Obligations and Responsibilities

2.1 Information Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when booking services or communicating with us. This includes contact details, property information, and any relevant circumstances that may affect service delivery.

2.2 Property Condition and Safety

You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The property is reasonably safe for our staff to work in
  • Any hazards, damage, or unusual conditions are disclosed in advance
  • Pets are secured and will not interfere with or endanger our staff
  • Any alarm systems or security measures are properly managed
  • Adequate utilities (water, electricity) are available for cleaning tasks

2.3 Valuable Items and Security

You are responsible for securing valuable items, important documents, cash, jewelry, and fragile objects before our arrival. While our staff are trustworthy and trained, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to items you have not adequately secured.

We recommend storing valuables in locked areas or removing them from areas to be cleaned.

2.4 Compliance with Laws

You agree to use our services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will not request services for unlawful purposes or in circumstances that would require us to violate any laws or regulations.

2.5 Respectful Conduct

You agree to treat our staff with respect and courtesy. Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward our staff will result in immediate termination of service without refund.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct of any kind.

2.6 Payment Obligations

You agree to pay for services as agreed at the time of booking. Payment is due upon completion of service unless alternative arrangements have been specifically agreed in writing. Late payments may incur additional charges.

3. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Request cleaning of hazardous materials, biohazards, or illegal substances
  • Misrepresent the condition, size, or circumstances of the property requiring cleaning
  • Interfere with our staff's ability to perform their duties safely and effectively
  • Use our services for any purpose other than legitimate domestic cleaning
  • Attempt to employ our staff privately or encourage them to work outside our company
  • Make false or malicious complaints about our services or staff
  • Use our website to transmit harmful code, spam, or unauthorized advertising
  • Attempt to access restricted areas of our website or systems
  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our website content without permission

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our business operations. Claims for property damage or loss that occur during service delivery and are attributable to our negligence should be reported immediately and will be handled through our insurance procedures.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or issues resulting from property condition or client actions.

4.3 Consequential Damages

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of use, loss of data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

4.4 Force Majeure

We shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these terms if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government actions, or other unforeseeable events.

8.2 Termination by Thornbury & Webb

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend services immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms and Conditions, engage in prohibited conduct, fail to pay for services, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, you remain liable for any outstanding payments for services already provided. Termination does not affect any provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination, including liability disclaimers, indemnification obligations, and dispute resolution provisions.
